I expect this sort of thing from vBlank. These guys were cool enough to release Retro City Rampage on the Wii Shop Channel even though it well past its glory days.
@Heavyarms55 I'm not really into the show or anything but I'm just wondering what you don't like about the art style. Is it too simplistic or is there another reason?
Miiverse was the first social media platform that I made use out of and I still think it holds up today. It was cool being able to interact with indie developers over some high score or glitch.
I guess it's understandable that Panic Button needs more time for this port since Doom Eternal is running on the id tech 7 engine while Doom (2016) ran on id tech 6.
A small price to pay for a portable rip and tear session.
I chose "other" as one of my three so I could lay down my fighter wish list.
1. Joe Musashi (Shinobi)
2. Chibi-Robo (Yes, he's a spirit but I badly want him)
3. Missingno. (Pokemon)
P.S. I am serious about Missingno. as his inclusion would have him officially recognized by Nintendo even though the likelihood of this happening is next to zero. Plus, imagine all the fun moves he could do.
One of the three things I chose in the features poll was "other" and that "other" is the inclusion of a screen-based controller like the Wii U gamepad.
There's a 99% chance it would never happen but it would phenomenal to see it return with games like Nintendo Land and ZombiU.
"Rude humor"? If this means it contains something as lame as a joke about getting hit in the groin or some sexual innuendo that the likes of "The Cat In The Hat" and "Alvin And The Chipmunks" employ, then I won't even bother to watch this ironically.
@Coach_A Maybe so, but considering Doom I & II have been ported to nearly everything, the initial release of these ports shouldn't have been so mediocre.
The add-on Map Packs, however, are a pretty good attempt at making up for it considering most of those aren't very accessible to consoles.
@mikegamer That's the irony here. The Doom (2016) port was handled very well while the classic Doom games, which had hundreds of great re-releases, were laughably sub-par.
It kinda makes me feel that Bethesda is a competent publisher when they feel like being one.
The Quick Saves are a double edged sword. When I was playing around with Doom II, I was playing on one of my older saves and I quick-saved it over my lastest file by accident. Now I'm trudging through three maps to get back to where I was.
Its a great update though. You can select levels now instead of loading saves, you can select fist/brass knuckles when you are equipped with the chainsaw, and the 60 f.p.s. is a game changer.
I updated Doom II and left the original Doom intact for frame rate comparison and wow, it is hard to go back.
I do wish they add the "Secret Is Revealed" text that pops up when you find secret areas back into the games. The option to adjust the H.U.D. and the controls would also be welcome but maybe in the next update.
@Joeynator3000 If it will be, I imagine some Shining situation where people will check in to the hotel, they'll see an elderly man sitting at a table in the lobby claiming to be a manager on break. He would ask them if they want to play a round of Hanafuda.
It would only be afterwards when people ask about him that they realize there isn't any manager like that working there.
Shinobi was fun. Even though it mimicked Rolling Thunder, it justified that by leading to the creation of The Revenge Of Shinobi and Shinobi III which were leaps and bounds ahead both of those arcade games.
While a Sonic Adventure remake might be what we need to get the franchise back on track, I hope at some point Sega takes the time to make a physics-based 3.D. Sonic game.
I know that is a lot to ask for, especially from Sega.
-Star Fox Zero (I haven't played it yet)
-Devil's Third (great multiplayer even though I sucked at it)
-The Wonderful 101 (I only played the demo but it was good)
-Fatal Frame V (because why not?)
By the way, I think this poll should left out games that were already ports as half of the votes are going to Wind Waker H.D. and Twilight Princess H.D..
It's a real shame ZombiU didn't get the recognition it deserves.
Even if it comes to Switch in the form of the Xbox One/Playstation 4 "Zombi" ports, I'll be content. Fingers crossed it reignites interest for a sequel.
P.S. I love how nobody wants Sonic Lost World to be ported. It's definitely the last game on my list.
"Shuntaro Furukawa Wants You To Know Nintendo Is "Constantly" Embracing New Technologies"
I think the problem for some people is that they are a bit slow at it. Seriously, just imagine what Super Mario Galaxy and Skyward Sword would have looked like in H.D. at 60 frames per second.
@Kalmaro Yeah, I was just thinking that this is another "Subway Guy" situation where the person made more than one change to his lifestyle to lose weight.

That should be Tom Nook's face on the Baron Of Hell.

Re: Reminder: Nintendo Rolls Out Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Version 7.0 Next Week
They need to buff Hero and nerf everybody else in this update.
How about adding a spell to his down special where he has a 1 in 1.5102 of gaining a Final Smash?
Re: We've Been Waiting 40 Years For This Pac-Man Tamagotchi To Be Released
This actually sounds kinda cool. It's a better way to celebrate Pac-Man's 40th anniversary than just releasing more clothing featuring him.
Re: Review: SEGA AGES Shinobi - A True Arcade Classic Comes To Switch
Man, I wish Joe Musashi joins Smash.
Re: Talking Point: Would You Like Miiverse To Return On Switch?

Re: Review: SEGA AGES Shinobi - A True Arcade Classic Comes To Switch
I just gave a like to this article for that fantastic Moonwalker reference. Truly brilliant.
Re: The Rumours Were True, A Netflix Witcher "Anime" Movie Really Is In The Works
The animation in The Legend Of Korra was top-notch. Honestly, we need more companies like Studio Mir working on western projects.
Re: Smash Bros. Ultimate Hosts Kunio-kun Event Later This Week, Four New Spirits Up For Grabs
Now that I think about it, this article's tagline should have been something like, "Get ready to barf!".
Re: Smash Bros. Ultimate Hosts Kunio-kun Event Later This Week, Four New Spirits Up For Grabs
How about some Double Dragon spirits? I would especially love one for "Bimmy Lee".

Re: Mortal Kombat Kollection Online Rated By PEGI, And It's Bringing The "Klassics" To Switch
These "Klassic" games sound cool but how about the first two reboot M.K. titles? Mortal Kombat X for the NX!

Re: Fire Emblem's Byleth Will Be Voiced By Zack Aguilar In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
@Aozz101x Not sure if you know, but if you didn't, he also does Genos from One Punch Man.
Re: Poll: Are You Happy With Smash Bros. Ultimate Challenger 5?
Byleth sounds interesting to play as but I can't say I'm excited for him. I appreciate the developers' output and strive for unique fighters though.
Re: Cuphead, Rabbids And Assassin's Creed's Altair Join Smash Bros. Ultimate As Mii Costumes
This has me wondering what Smash would be like in the Cuphead/30s' cartoon aesthetic.
Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Version 2 Will Add Another Six Fighters
There's still hope for Doomguy.
Re: Fire Emblem's Byleth Confirmed As Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's 5th DLC Fighter
I was just thinking that the Ultimate roster doesn't have enough Fire Emblem characters. Oh, and also, not enough swordfighters in general.

Any gesture that Sakurai does sets the internet off. Can't wait to see the inevitable Smash stage.
Re: Gallery: First 4 Figures Luigi's Mansion 3 Statue Is Lit, Quite Literally
@KitsuneNight That's what I was thinking. Plus it has some light functionality to go along with it so it seems like a fair price to me.

@Priceless_Spork But you can't make an H-block with four squares.
Re: Tetris Creator Alexey Pajitnov Thinks Tetris 99 Is "Absolutely" Great And Loves The Nintendo Switch
B.O.T.W. is one of his favorites? I didn't know he was that much of a gamer. If he plays it, who do you think he mains in Smash Bros.?
Re: Bethesda's Hellish Add-On Update For DOOM And DOOM II Is Now Available
@ilh I would say complete them all to get even more hyped for Doom Eternal.
Re: Bethesda's Hellish Add-On Update For DOOM And DOOM II Is Now Available
@DTfeartheBEARD The option would be cool but maybe Bethesda and company don't think it is worth the effort since you can only aim left and right.

Both series deserve more attention than what they get.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #24 - Super Monkey Ball 2
@Bass_X0 I'm fairly certain that aspect was inspired by classic cartoons from the '30s.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl #24 - Super Monkey Ball 2
I like the European version for being the most unique out if the three. Plus, it's just fun to look at.
P.S. Props for the tagline of this article

Okay, to be fair, Retro is still in charge so what's the worst that could happen?
Re: Random: Move Aside Baby Sonic, Baby Mega Man Has Resurfaced Online
@Joeynator3000 @Octarian They kinda already did, Although, technically speaking, it's Pac-Man's child.

Re: Random: Move Aside Baby Sonic, Baby Mega Man Has Resurfaced Online
It's not a huge surprise considering there's baby Pac-Man, baby Donkey Kong, baby Ridley (birdie). It will never end.
On a side note, how does a robot grow up?
Re: Random: Hideo Kojima Wanted Konami's GBA Title Boktai: The Sun Is In Your Hand To Detect Garlic Breath

I'm not sure Death Stranding qualifies as obscure.
