Many high quality games this month. I guess if we don't count Radiant Silvergun, I can place Tinykin on number 3 as I loved this game on Game Pass. And haven't played Shovel Knight Dig, Jack Move and ANNO.
@Freek Subscribe to Game pass if you can ( even if for a Trial and you will be able to play it at the premiere to soften the blow of waiting for your copy
I guess it could be announced during the Direct, but depends if this is not the case of big money exclusivity ( you saw Phil announce it himself). Maybe Nintendo refused to pay, because there is no logical explanation why until now we don't get them, they know the public WANTS these games. Even if this is the case, it could be timed exclusivity for 1 year.
No, because this is just plain stupid. First, people that wanted some upgrade like me bought OLED model and there is still life in the current switch. ( I know I wish hardware was more powerful, but still, we shouldn't buy new models each year...)
Dungeon Encounters, already 20 hours in and got to the 50th floor.Very addicting game, but some new mechanics seem very unfair, so we will see if I will continue to the end.
@Starius65 Exactly, it's not only Nintendo of course. Companies care about profit and sales. Preservation is about dumping all backups and collect them for the future.
@setezerocinco You will be able to re-download them, but until when? They will stop their servers at some point in the future, even if it is 5 years from now.
Just bought a SD card to backup all my games, BUT not from the online store, no, I am going the "matey" way, because that way I can have the files myself and redownload them to my card whenever I may need. I feel this is the morally correct way, if they stop their services. I have no regrets.
@StarPoint Yes, the screen is bigger and better. And the battery of the original Switch v1 is terrible, you will feel a lot better with V2 or OLED battery life.
There is no need to awaken, as this is my most played genre in gaming as a whole. And everything started with Metroid mechanics. It's just not a franchise for casual players. (not the difficulty, just the atmosphere and gameplay maybe, you can feel a sense of "DREAD")
Started Paper Mario Origami King and South Park:Stick of Truth, so I will continue with these, also continuing Super Mario 3D World and Arcades.
This GBA article is really teasing me to play (again or some that I have never finished properly)some of the best GBA games.
Started Paper Mario Origami King, as well as continuing my progress in Super Mario 3D World. Might play some 90's Arcades from Capcom or Neo Geo games.
Btw, if you have Apple Arcade - try Sp!ing - awesome platformer/rope swinging game, level design is great.
I tried it on Game Pass for Xbox, but I am so tired of all the roguelikes/lites. Just make a game with a start and an end with progress that does not reset...
@outsider83 With the risk of being downvoted, I own Hades on PC, I have beaten 1 boss in my first runs, so my own opinion is that while being very well made, it's just a roguelite game. You just fight on small maps and that's it. You unlock some perks and modifiers for your weapons or abilities, but that's it. If you don't like roguelites or just action games, maybe you better stay clear of it.
The Messenger for some platforming action and Into the Breach for some tactical missions. BTW there is a Nicalis sale on the US eshop, so I grabbed Tiny Barbarian and will try it out as well. Considering Ittle Dew 2+ as well.
@gaga64 I think putting Semblance in the top 3 is the right choice. Downloaded it on Steam and it is an excellent puzzle-platformer - unqiue in a way. Putting it ahead of some old games is better to expose it to more people.
A lot of games are coming, that's the most important thing, even if most of them are ports. Excited that Captain Toad, Luidi's Mansion remaster and Okami are coming back.
I prefer physical, but have most of my games in recent years in digital format( waiting for sales and of course indies, which I have played way more than any AAA titles, and also VC classics). Digital has many flaws- cannot be re-sold, so for that fact only you have to consider very well if what you are buying, how long it will last you and etc. Also cannot be shared. But this is the current situation and this is the future, as physical games need patches- which defeats the purpose of physical format. I also love Steam and buy a lot of games from there.

Re: Nintendo Download: 2nd June (North America)
Souldiers and Card Shark, but will probably wait for a sale, cause it is not reasonable to buy so many games, when I have such a backlog.
Re: Talking Point: If Breath Of The Wild 2 Launched Alongside New Switch Hardware, Would You Upgrade?
No, because this is just plain stupid.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 9th)

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 2nd)

Re: Talking Point: Can Metroid Dread Be The Franchise's 'Awakening'?

Re: Video: Are 2D Games Worth $60? Jon, Alex And Zion Share Their Own Thoughts
I want my tight platformers and Metroidvanias in 2D!!!
Yes, it can be done in 3d. But some things are just better in 2D.
(I also play VR games and it is awesome, not to think I am living in the past)
Re: What's Next On Switch? Here's An Infographic Of The Games For 2021 And Beyond
Cough Missing BOTW2 *Cough, which was announced by Nintendo themselves to be 2022.
Small game, easy to miss, no worries.
OR this could mean just games launching in the first half of 2022?
Could this means Splatoon 3 launching by then?
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 19th)
Raging Loop and gonna start Batbarian. Plus Hearthstone.
