The accessories will come down from the retailers, just wait a little while after launch. I think most peoples priority right now should be securing a pre-order. And if possible the Mario Kart pack.
Nintendo did the right thing here. Keep the consoles and games the same price. And up the price of accesories knowing that the retailers can pretty much take the slight increase on the chin after the launch window. Nothing to see here really.
Tariffs are there to open trade negotiations. Which they have done. Yes you can have some stock market turbulence at first but it usually goes back up pretty soon. You act as if the previous administration did no damage whatsoever. Stock markets are rarely the concern of regular folks who can't afford to buy stocks and shares. But day to day items increasing in price due to inflation over the last four years will have a very real impact.
The poor were much better off under the last administration, with rising inflation costs etc??. All the major parties are for the billionaires... It's the way they are all funded. It's a case of choose which biillionaires you personally like...
To be fair this was more important when it was just simply tracks. This open world looks pretty big and will take a while to fully explore so I bet we have only seen a tiny bit so far.
I am on a media blackout. I just want to explore every inch of the world and see it for the first time. I have only watched the nintendo Switch 2 direct 5 min trailer.
On a media backout for this and have only watched the Switch 2 directs 5 mins trailer thus far. Need to stay strong... but days like this make if difficult.
Just bought a used copy of BOTW from e-bay. I still have my save file and have a family expansion online subscription package. Pretty good value at £29.
50 here. Pre ordered a bundle at Curry's too. Comet that takes me back... I remember when I bought the Wii and DS at launch thinking they would be my last Nintendo consoles. I am even more excited for the Switch 2.
So what is it you think is too expensive the console itself or the one game at $80?. This is of course assuming you know all Nintendo's costs including parts, production and development. Seriously I am intrigued to hear what you think.
So you basically never adressed my point about inflation. I am not here to be thanked by people. Whatever that means in the first place. I do have empathy for people in tough situations. But you also have to understand the reality of all this. You are living in a dream world. You seem to feel videogame companies owe you something when they do not. If you think things are overpriced don't buy them.
The problem is you are not really understanding how inflation works. If you push up the wages inflation can also increase as a result. So you can't really solve the problem. And we all have to tighten our belts as it were in certain circumstances. You are really calling for ideal world solutions which are not always workable.
Some rumors suggest 12GB of ram. But again it depends on what type of ram being used. We already know the Switch 2 uses Micro express storage. And Nvidia's AI DLSS.
The Switch 2 is more powerful than the Steam Deck. Not sure what you are suggesting here. The Deck is not even direct competition for the Switch brand. The Steam Deck is a nich handheld that has sold around 4 million units.
Although as yet the ram in the Switch 2 is unconfirmed.
The original Switch had no ram to be honest, and they did use a lot to make sure the home sreen was fast. The new console has 10GB of ram so this should be fine.
Plug Mario kart world into my veins now. This is going to be epic. But a long wait until July the 5th. Even more so as I am going on a media black out for the game. Which is made even worse by the direct coming up next week............. must resist...
Folders and custom backgrounds should be more than possible on the Switch 2......... But will Nintendo offer this?. I do like the simple design though.
It's only a small detail but I much prefer the rounded edges on the Switch game icons on the home screen, Small little details like that really give a more premium feel. I am hoping we get a decent resolution for the home screen this time round. 4K would be awesome, although 1080p would be an improvement as well.
That being said my LG C series OLED did a pretty good job of upscaling the original Switch 720p home menu.... but still...

Re: Nintendo Kicks Off Mario Kart World Marketing In Japan With A Trio Of New Trailers
This is getting my hype levels even higher. Got a standard console ordered with Mario Kart World and the new pro controller.
Re: Nintendo Kicks Off Mario Kart World Marketing In Japan With A Trio Of New Trailers
@Anti-Matter
You don't really need a micro sd express card right away. you get 256GB storage on the console as standard.

Re: Nintendo Switch 2 US Pre-Orders Start 24th April, System & Launch Game Pricing Unchanged

People have been complaining about the price of the console and games since they were announced. Now people are moaning about $5 extra.
Re: Nintendo Switch 2 US Pre-Orders Start 24th April, System & Launch Game Pricing Unchanged
@axelhander,
The Switch 2 is only $100 more than the Switch OLED at launch. Not sure what some are suggesting here.
Re: Nintendo Switch 2 US Pre-Orders Start 24th April, System & Launch Game Pricing Unchanged
@axelhander.
Proof please this is corporate greed. I am of course assuming you have the material, production and development costs.
Re: Nintendo Switch 2 US Pre-Orders Start 24th April, System & Launch Game Pricing Unchanged
@axelhander,
Not sure how you actually expected the prices to go down. I would suggest the consoles and games staying the same is a win here...

The Switch 2 will sell tonnes no matter what.

How dare you suggest attention seeking YouTubers with very few subscribers or views are not indicative of the whole.... the mere suggestion..
Re: Nintendo Switch 2 US Pre-Orders Start 24th April, System & Launch Game Pricing Unchanged
@Friendly,
So nothing to do with the inflation over the last four years then?.. And the console has remained the same price.

Another storm in a teacup has ended. We await patiently for the next one.
Have you managed to get a pre-order mate?
