Played on my phone for an hour and deleted it. It’s really bad. Repetitive and constant reminders on micro transactions.

It looks great but not sure I want to pay for it and wait 2 years.

It’s a pretty bad game. The controls are rubbish and on top of that you’ve got “micro transactions” and subscription to pay. It’s a disappointing release from the big N

@StevenG they should redesign it then. Things wear out but you don’t expect it to last less than a year. My launch PS4 controller still works perfectly. Even my 3DS after years of use has no issues

@StevenG we shouldn’t have to replace them. You’re buying a product that should work out the box and not need fixing after just a year. Also, the switch lite may not be as easy to fix. We don’t know yet.
It’s clear it’s an issue and the general consensus is that it’s a design fault. Nintendo do needs to take action to sort this out for the future and have a solution for previous buyers. We should not be making excuses for them or belittling others for raising the issue. Nintendo is at fault and they need to do something about it.

It was live last week. I got my preorder in. Really looking forward to this game and the collectors edition looks awesome

I backed bloodstained on vita and bought a premium edition and a standard for $150 plus shipping on top. I was annoyed at the cancellation at first then so happy I got a refund. Now I can order it cheaper from amazon for PS4 or switch than backers paid. I’ll wait for reviews though. Even the last demo didn’t run that well on my PC and this article worries me about the switch version. Them saying they’ll fix it before launch doesn’t mean much given they also broke promises about bringing the game to vita and wiiu.

@Scottwood101 I’d buy the switch mini for myself and keep the regular switch for my kids.

Makes sense. My kids still love theirs. I tried out Captain Toad on my son’s 3DS and it’s a lot of fun and plays perfectly. The system still has a place in my home even though we have a switch too

Do subscribers get exclusive discounts? They advertised it as part of the service but I haven’t seen any mention of deals. I haven’t subbed yet but if they start offering some great discounts where the saving almost pays for the subscription then I’ll bite

@Roarsome I was coming here to say the same thing. There are so many excellent AAA games on console that my PS4 is reserved for playing them on my TV. Indie games, I feel, don’t need a big screen to play them. I’m happy playing them on my switch or Vita.

Assuming it’s true, Nintendo probably aren’t happy that this leaked. In the run up to Christmas you don’t want people hesitating about buying a switch in case the new version is much better.

Personally I would love a switch mini that’s more portable. I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
Oh and Bluetooth headphones compatibility.

@Regpuppy yup I’m aware of that. I’m just wondering if i get the subscription on my US account does that mean I have to play Fortnite on my US account going forward. It’s not a huge issue for me but if people have spent money on their U.K. account (for example) then they may not want to subscribe from a different region.

@Regpuppy I’m not sure. If you do that then it may restrict you to only play online on that regions account. Some people may not want to if they’ve spent money or a lot of time on one particular account playing online. I wouldn’t mind doing that actually.

It says only NES games on their website are part of the subscription. I think I got my hopes up that it would be SNES too. I’ll probably still subscribe just for cloud saves and to play fortnite online.

Another problem with this, will be price when it comes out. Prices drop so fast in PS4 and XBO releases. It may make people hesitatate buying it when they see the switch version is £30 compared to £15 on the PS4. I’m still buying it on Switch for the portability. I just want it now.

@FatAlbert1 I disagree it has a place it’s just not for adult gamers. My 7 and 5 year old have a 2DS each and they love it. They’ve been playing Pokemon Sun and Mario maker and there’s a lot of cheap games now that I’ve bought for them. I don’t care if the break the 2DS’, I got them for £60 or so each and they’ve more than gotten their money’s worth out of it. I’m not buying extra switches for them and don’t need to when there are so many 3DS games for them to play and enjoy. I hope Nintendo keep making games and indies keep releasing games because it’s a good device for kids to game on that’s solid and less easy to break with a great library

It sounded like from the eurogamer article that even local trading and battling would need a Nintendo online sub. If so that’s a bit rubbish

Runner 3 seems really expensive. Runner 2 is £8 on Vita and I got it for £4 on sale. I’ll wait for a sale and hope it gets a decent discount

I really enjoy playing fortnite so id be down to play a BR COD but it will depend on the price. If it’s a £40 release then I’m out.

Switch discounts are not great. Compared to PSN and XBL sales where games go down 80% this doesn’t seem great. World of Goo is still so overpriced.

Totally agree with this review. I reviewed it for Vita and not only was the game boring and shallow the vita had bugs. There was a constant screen stutter that gave me a headache after a while and there was a game breaking bug that meant the world stopped generating so I couldn’t even finish the game for the review!

This doesn’t sound like I’d enjoy it. I loved the main game and I would really have preferred some proper story DLC with a traditional Zelda dungeon. I’m kind of glad. There are so many games to play right now that it gives me one thing to remove from my list

The game looks amazing but be aware that the gameplay is shallow, repetitive and frustrating. There are game breaking bugs which are still present on the PlayStation version. The dev admitted that they’ve been there on all versions and can’t be fixed. Don’t let the pretty graphics fool you like they did me.

@scully1888 I think this is a really bad precedent to be setting. If a company is asking for money for a broken game then there should be no question about scoring it accordingly. I read the review and it's obviously a low scoring game, but I don't think a reviewer should be worrying about the metacritic score of a game. It should be more about giving a fair rating for readers to be informed. Assuming all sites did this and metacritic didn't show a low score then people may buy it not realising how bad a shape its in. Just my 2 cents.

@NickOfTime90 cool thanks. That makes this a definite buy for me. I've got skyrim and all DLC on my PC but I never got round to playing the DLC. I'll happily play through all of it on my Switch.

Have they said if the game contains the DLC expansions?

I'd pay £15 but not more. It sounds like the core game is the same so I can get it and play much cheaper on 3DS or Vita and their D Pads are better for fighters.
I hope Switch gets Marvel came Capcom infinity.

I don't know what I'm ever going to spend my gold coins on! You have to spend a fair amount to earn them but they give so little value. There should be free games for gold coins not 20% of an old, mediocre game!

I was underwhelmed. I realise it's very different to other online shooters but I can't see this as replacing overwatch for me as my online game of choice.
