I have three memories: 1. When I got my Sega Genesis (that's the Mega Drive in case you don't know) that came with Sonic 2. I can remember trying to play 2-Player with my sister, but it only came with one controller.
2. When my grandmother gave me Super Mario 64, then I got my N64 that Christmas. Yes, my family had a sense of humor. The best part was renting Mario Kart 64 after that.
3. Getting Super Mario Land 1&2 for my Game Boy along with two large plush Mario and Yoshi toys (the ones from BD&A during the N64 days) that would talk when you pressed their hand. That was my favorite because there was a sense of magic: My grandparents came to visit us when my family and I were trying to work in a boy's ranch in Missouri, and that Christmas made up for a crappy life there. Not long after that we hated it so much we packed our bags and left!
If the developers had it their way, they'd still make Battletoads and Banjo-Kazooie for Nintendo. Heck, I'd like to see Banjo make an (official. Mods don't count) appearance in a Mario Kart game. Or a Donkey Kong game for that matter.
For DLC I'd like to see Mario dressed up as Indiana Jones or like he did in the Super Mario live action movie, mostly as a nod. I know it's a copyright headache, but I can dream, right?
For sequels, I don't mind one but I'd like to see a remake from Luigi's point of view, with Daisy and Tatanga from Super Mario Land (in his old comic book adaptation) to replace Peach and Bowser respectively.
@ricklongo I'd like to see an L.A. Noire 2 (maybe seeing one of Phelps' kids get into the police force in the 60's ultimately getting justice against those who screwed Phelps over. Considering the crap that went on from segregation to the hippies to Korea and Vietnam this should be very interesting) or a N.Y. Noire set in the same time period or Chicago Noire. Also a nitpick: the review said that Phelps is ex-army. He's actually ex-marine.
@meleebrawler True, but I mean in the case of UNNECESSARY meddling. Sorry if I made myself unclear. I still think Pixar should've been a better choice, though. I know it's not their tradition to so someone else's work, but I think it'd be a good challenge and experience for them.
I always thought Illumination would be a good choice for an animated Mario movie. Granted, I think Pixar is a better choice since they're better at storywriting. The only thing I'm worried about is Nintendo meddling where they don't belong; Anytime there's meddling from the higher-ups - in war, video games (Sonic 2006, Superman 64, and Resident Evil 6) or movies - it's almost guaranteed to flop, especially since Nintendo doesn't exactly have experience in movies.
I always thought of a Mario movie as a buddy comedy, where Mario is the risk-taking optimist who comes up with hare-brained ideas while Luigi is smarter, maybe more cynical, and has more common sense, living in Brooklyn, New York (and all the quirks that come with it).
I prefer mine docked. I've always preferred to play games on the TV rather than craning my neck playing with a glorified brick, and I very seldom play undocked or handheld.
(facepalm) Just when I'm broke and already have a black New 3DS Regular. I'll preorder one anyways because it's SNES and for fear of this being as easy to find as hen's teeth.
Mega Man 7 Donkey Kong Country 2&3 Chrono Trigger Alcahest Final Fight 3 Aladdin Ardy Lightfoot Breath of Fire 1&2 Daikaijuu Monogatari (an RPG, trust me, it's good. Simple, but good) Harvest Moon Hook Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures Super Star Wars Trilogy Legend of the Mystical Ninja Magical Quest Mickey & Donald: Magical Adventure 3 Pocky & Rocky Super Adventure Island 2 Super Bomberman 2 (best of the series, better than #3; they went cheap after #2) Super Double Dragon TMNT: Tournament Fighters Tetris Attack Tetris & Dr. Mario Super Tetris 3 Wario's Woods Yoshi's Cookie
All in all, I found Sunshine to be quite fun! Yes it's got its flaws (especially the FLUDD-less platforming levels; those I felt were redundant and needless) but it wasn't as bad as this article's making out to be.
Never fully played this game, but I loved to watch playthroughs of this game. Now that the game's getting a remaster you think there'd be as sequel/spiritual successor for this game? L.A. Noire 2, maybe? Or N.Y. Noire or Chicago Noire?
@Joytendo22 I did at one time, felt a little too uncomfortable on my hands. Playing Mischief Makers with a Gamecube controller sure did feel like heaven, though.
This looks really cool, maybe I'll buy it as an early Christmas present. I've been mostly using raphnet tech's Gamecube to N64 controller converter; I think it needed a Controller Pak setup (for Rayman 2, Castlevania 64, Toy Story 2, or any other game that requires it) and needs some button layout adjustments on the factory default, otherwise it's a perfect converter! Maybe this new controller will be my answer.
Disappointing, but kinda expected. I'm still gonna keep my eye on the SNES Mini, though. Maybe I'll blow that money on an Xbox 360 at GameStop once the cancellation kicks in.
Personally I'd like to see an EarthBound/Mother collection for starters; Mother 3 is way overdue for an official international release. Also I'd like to see Smash released for the Switch, maybe with a few new fighters and new courses. Mostly I'd like to see an SNES Classic Edition (and see Nintendo shoot itself in the foot again just like the NES Classic. ;-P)
@memoryman3 I'd like to see the Ice Climbers back in Smash Bros. The 3DS's processing is the biggest reason for the exclusion, so the Switch shouldn't be a problem anymore.
If they ever make a Super Mario movie, it has to be animated. As for story, preferably a buddy-movie, with Mario being more optimistic while Luigi more common-sense all the while rescuing Peach (of course).
I have a second opinion; I disagree strongly on the rating. 5/10? More like 8/10 IMO. My biggest complaint is the later levels, making pill-stacking more precarious, but other than that, this game's equally as fun to play as the NES version.
Wow. One of the best articles I've read in a while on this website. I've heard of Nightmare Busters on Youtube, but not being officially released. I might get this game, just because it's on my favorite console!
The SNES Harvest Moon is, IMO, the best in the series, despite the Engrish, typos, and lazily generated dialogue. I do feel like the series is turning into an Animal Crossing wannabe, though.
I remember my sister playing thr original version. She literally played that thing like the back of her hand. I wasn't as interested in the game personally.

Re: New Stages, Hair Styles, Battle Mode and More Confirmed for Huge Splatoon 2 Updates
Somebody must've took note of Walmart and Sam's Club for the MakoMart design.
Re: Nintendo is Close to a Major Deal for a New Mario Bros. Movie
@Muddy_4_Ever VIDEO game movie, you mean. Mario wasn't even in that one, only a mention and Bowser. And a good movie at that.
Re: GameShell Looks Like A Game Boy, But Offers So Much More
All this thing needs is L/R buttons and this is perfect!

Great. Terrible voice acting will abound.

It's too bad we don't get something like this overseas; All we usually get from the USPS is some politically correct world leader or theme.
Re: Poll: Where Do You Currently Stand on ARMS and Splatoon 2?
What I'd really like to know (especially Splatoon 2) is will they make good esports games? Will the variety make an impact?
Re: Seiken Densetsu Collection Announced For Nintendo Switch
What, no Secret of Evermore?
Re: Review: Mega Man 7 (New 3DS / SNES)
I have to agree with Zapkido: Mega Man & Bass was the worst. I honestly feel #7 was one of the better games IMO.

Re: Feature: 3DS and the Trend of Colourful Handhelds
I always liked anything red. I hope Nintendo makes a real cool color come next Black Friday.
Re: Kingdom Hearts 3DS Bundle Confirmed for Japan
"Would you like to see this hardware bundle in your region?" In a word, YES!
Re: Sakurai: Next Smash Bros. "May Take a While"
Pfft. I'm not surprised to be honest. I wonder if Sakurai is getting sick of making Smash Bros.
Re: Japanese Virtual Console List - January 2012
It's cool that Japan's got Ganbare Goemon 2, but what about the first one? That one's good, too.

I don't think there should be a 3rd branch at all! I think the games from said branch belong to the 1st branch, IMO.
Re: Club Nintendo Now Lets You Buy Download Games with Coins
I'd much prefer TwinBee over Xevious, but this is probably one of the best things Club Nintendo has ever done. They need to do this more often!

I don't think Mr. Miyamoto is about to step down. He's still got a lot of plans up his sleeve to retire just like that!

I always wanted to play an Itadaki Street game. Why didn't Square Enix release the previous games years ago?
Re: Aonuma: "We'll See" About Zelda Voice Acting

Looks like it's a Gamestop exclusive, huh? It might get pretty rare. I hope it comes with that red Classic Controller. :3
Re: SupaBoy Is a Portable Super Nintendo for $80
So buy. All Hyperkin needs to do is make a new NES game-playing portable system with controller ports and they'd REALLY make headwaves!
Re: Register 2 3DS Games and You Could Win a Mario 3DS
That Mario 3DS should've been packaged with Super Mario 3D Land instead of that Flame Red one. I would've bought that one at a heartbeat!
Re: Nintendo Download: 1st December 2011 (North America)
In a word, boring. I can think of better games than that.
Re: Review: Rayman Origins (Wii)
I notice Rayman's got some new fighting moves in this game. He SO deserves to be in the next Smash Bros.
