EA Sports will lift the lid on its Wii U titles next month, says IGN.
The publisher is hosting an open house in the middle of July where it will make Wii U-related announcements. Back in May EA Sports announced FIFA 13 for Wii U and at E3 2011 EA's John Riccitiello mused about Madden NFL on Wii U, so you can expect to hear details of both football games next month.
Last year EA and Nintendo announced an "unprecedented partnership", but so far the only EA title we know of is Mass Effect 3. Expect that to change next month.

Fifa will be the one for me, I normally always get it for the PS3 but it'll be interesting to see if they have any special features for the Wii U Gamepad.
Hopefully they will be usefull thingslike being able to change tactics and make substitutions on the touch screen etc and not things that are forced on for the sake of it.
Something I would like to see on Fifa is the ability to take a Penalty on the touch screen, you could swipe where you want to Ball to go and depending on how hard you swipe this would determine the power of your shot etc.
It's not too much of a shocker, with that whole partnership thing that was mentioned before.
Don't get me wrong, I love FIFA, but if they announce the sports games as the two unknown games I'll be really annoyed. I'm hoping it's Need for Speed Most Wanted and I have a feeling the second will be SimCity to take advantage of the gamepad.
Meh.. Probably gonna be something uninteresting.
lets hope that fifa is not some watered down arcade crap like the ones they put out for the wii. lets hope that ea show some great sports games for the wii u.
I'm surprised that, with the EA Partnership thing announced last year, there weren't more mentions of EA games beyond a casual mention of a Mass Effect 3 port, whether it's Medal of Honour, Battlefield, EA Sports, ANYTHING. Unless Mr. Riccitello is actually working for Ubi-Soft, or WB Games.
I am thinking there are still a few announcements yet to happen in relation to 3rd parties and the delay may actually be at Nintendo's behest. EA's quietness at E3 was strange even though we know they will be one of the bigger 3rd party supporters of Wii U. I am hoping for some surprises but at the very least I am expecting Madden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Medal of Honour!
So, is EA big enough to let's say speed along a release date announcement? How many people are going to hold out for Madden on the WiiU? I can't imagine it's even possible to be a Madden fan and not own either a PS3 or Xbox360 by now.
If they reveal a new Grand Slam Tennis game... that might change my mind about getting a Wii U at launch.
It's probably Madden, and UFC. EA also said they look at the Wii u, the same way they look at Microsoft's "Smart Glass" meaning the Wii u controller is probably going to do the Smart Glass ideas shown on Microsoft's live E3 show.
I'm hoping for UFC.
@Rated_R_Superstar Or what about if you're the goalie, holding the GamePad, and the player on the tv is kicking at you, and you need to physically move the controller to block the ball...??
I really hope they're developing the new SimCity for WiiU. Sounds pretty amazing.
I wonder what EA Sports plans on doing with the Tiger Woods franchise? Tiger hasn't done anything significant on the course since we all found out he was a disengenous cheatin' dirtbag.
I bet 10$ fifa will be a cut-down version of the other consoles (gfx, no drible tricks/moves, maybe cartoony, no 20 player online) but it will sport a nice live map of the field on the second screen with extras like player stamina, handicap/bonus depending on position, and live strategy changes/decisions, a live coach/assistant giving you tips about the game.. maybe "what just went wrong" tips.
NHL and MLB games please.
The only franchise they have left that I'm interested in is Burnout
they still make sports games?
E. A. Sports. It's in the game.
I dunno, I might get one...I don't like sports games, but what the hell?
Make a Tiger Woods game without controller gimmicks like motion control, please.
EA Sports. It's not in the game. It's in an office making video games
